SMPD Officers responded to a call about a disturbance at the Public Storage facility on the 3000 block of Wilshire Blvd. The caller told Dispatchers that she heard loud banging on the glass door at the rear of the location and was afraid for her safety. Upon arrival and noticing that the front door had been completely shattered, the responding Officer requested additional units and activated his Body Worn Camera. As he peered into the room, he noticed a subject sitting down smoking a cigarette. When the Officer asked the individual what he was doing, the individual made statements about taking things from the location. Adrien P. Lormand was then placed under arrest for a 459PC- Burglary. Due to Covid-19 protocols, Lormand was subsequently cited and released.
