The Los Angeles Police Department subdued a man near the intersection of Rose and 6th on Tuesday after the suspect made threats to himself and officers.
The Los Angeles Police Department closed a section of Venice after reports of a gunman barricaded in a nearby building at about noon on March 24.
Several blocks of venice around the intersection of Rose / 6th were closed with multiple officers, vehicles and helicopters circling. According to witnesses, officers began closing the streets after an individual pointed a gun at an officer and then threatened to harm himself inside the Venice Family Clinic building at the intersection.
After a several hour standoff LAPD shot the suspect with less-lethal ammunition and was able to take him into custody.
