**9 Things to Look For in Childcare during COVID-19**

- **Small, stable group sizes.** The County limits group sizes to 12 kids with two educators.
- **Quick drop-offs/pick-ups.** Expect staggered pickups/drop offs at centers.
- **Daily Health Screenings at Drop-Off.**
- **Heightened Cleaning Procedures.**
- **Mask Wearing.** Mandatory for educators and kids 2 and up.
- **Physical Distancing.** Ask how your provider has adapted daily activities such as eating and circle time - you may be delighted by the ingenuity of their ideas. That said, due to their age, it might not always be possible to keep kids separated.
- **Frequent Hand Washing.** Visible signage throughout the facility, including posted at eye level for young children in the restrooms.
- **Isolation plans.** Ask what a provider would do if a child (or staff member) begins to feel sick.
- **Knowledgeable** about how to limit the spread of COVID-19 in an early care setting via guidance from LA County Department of Public Health and Community Care Licensing.
