*By Ocean Park Association Santa Monica*

The board and members of the Ocean Park Association would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation for the fine work that Rainer Zebala Partners and the Sculpture Conservation Studio have done in restoring the Ocean Park underpass murals.

We watched as they meticulously cleaned and painted and graffiti-sealed the whales and the merry-go-round (‘Unbridled’) murals.

With the new anti-graffiti coating there has only been one incident of vandalism to date, and it was easily removed without apparent damage to the art.

We also wish to thank the City Council for approving the necessary funding and for their understanding that art and beautification of our neighborhoods bring benefit to all. And, as Ocean Park Boulevard is used by many residents to access Main Street and the south beach areas, all improvements are greatly appreciated.
