Roundup: Teams back in gear as break ends

CITYWIDE — Now that spring break has broke, local teams return to full slates of games this week. The baseball and boys’ volleyball squads at Santa Monica High School return to Ocean League play today with baseball hosting Inglewood and volleyball traveling to rival Culver City.

CITYWIDE — Now that spring break has broke, local teams return to full slates of games this week.

The baseball and boys’ volleyball squads at Santa Monica High School return to Ocean League play today with baseball hosting Inglewood and volleyball traveling to rival Culver City. Both games begin at 3:15 p.m.

Samohi volleyball enters the game ranked fourth in the latest CIF-Southern Section Division 4 poll, it was announced on Monday. Culver City is unranked.

St. Monica baseball hopes to shake off a rough start against La Salle at Marine Park today. The Del Rey League game begins at 3 p.m. St. Monica is 2-16 overall and 0-6 in league.

Pacifica Christian’s baseball team travels to San Pedro today to take on Rolling Hills Prep in Coastal League action. The game begins at 3:30 p.m.
