# Runners ready for Rick Crocker 5K Challenge

**Run:** On Thursday, May 26 at 4 p.m., the Police Activities League (PAL) of Santa Monica will host the second annual 5K run/walk in honor of former Marine and Santa Monica Police Department and PAL officer Ricardo “Rick” Crocker, who was killed while serving his country in Iraq on May 26, 2005\. The run/walk, which takes place on the 17th anniversary of Crocker’s passing, will welcome participants from around Santa Monica.
