Samohi breaks ground on two new buildings

Construction: Samohi staff, students, teachers and community members gathered Monday afternoon at a groundbreaking ceremony for two new buildings on campus. The Gold Gym and the Exploration Building are expected to be completed by fall 2024 and will feature state-of-the art recreation and learning facilities. SMMUSD Superintendent Ben Drati, Chief Operations Officer Carey Upton, School Board President Maria Leon Vasquez and Samohi Principal Marae Cruce all spoke at the event.
