Samohi’s football team begins the season unranked in the first California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section football poll, but is among a small group of teams on the cusp of cracking the top 10.
The Vikings are coming off a 4-7 season, which was Head Coach Travis Clark’s first year leading the team.
Fellow Ocean League member Culver City is ranked seventh in the Western Division poll.
