Santa Monica High School’s softball team has the luck of the draw as the Vikings are scheduled to host a second playoff game.
Coming off a 12-0 romp over El Segundo in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs, the Vikings will now face Garden Grove at Samohi on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m.
The second matchup on campus is somewhat rare because home games are not based on seedings, but are awarded on a round-to-round basis based on a number of factors that don’t always align to allow for a team to host twice in a row.
