Santa Monica Travel & Tourism has launched a free mobile pass designed to help LA Tech Week attendees discover local businesses and attractions through a gamified experience.
The LA Tech Week Pass, developed in partnership with Bandwango, allows users to earn points and unlock special offers by visiting participating locations throughout the city. Rewards include custom keychains, pins, tote bags and water bottles.
"Santa Monica is where beachside culture meets innovation," said Misti Kerns, president and CEO of Santa Monica Travel & Tourism. "The LA Tech Week Pass turns that energy into a fun, trackable experience that rewards attendees for exploring our neighborhoods, businesses, and iconic landmarks."
The pass features curated recommendations for restaurants, bars, shops, meeting spaces and attractions accessible from mobile phones. Offers include deals at hotels, restaurants, lounges, wellness spots, tours and shopping venues.
Tech Week attendees can sign up at explore.santamonica.com to receive the pass via SMS and email. Users check in at participating locations to unlock exclusive offers and earn points toward rewards.
Santa Monica serves as a natural base for LA Tech Week participants due to its walkable neighborhoods, thriving arts scene and commitment to sustainability. The coastal city offers more than 40 hotels, the Santa Monica Pier, miles of beachfront, bike paths and the Third Street Promenade.
LA Tech Week is part of a national Tech Week series celebrating technology, startups and creative innovation. The Los Angeles event features a full week of programming designed to highlight the city's growing influence in technology, media and venture capital.
The mobile pass aims to connect tech conference attendees with Santa Monica's blend of small-town charm and big-city amenities while supporting local businesses during the week-long event.
