Santa Monica Place will host a full calendar of free community events throughout April, including weekly line dancing, live music, a children's program, and an artisan market at its Center Plaza, located at 395 Santa Monica Place.

Western Wednesdays, held every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. through April 29, offer free guided line dancing lessons led by professional instructors. April 1 will include a photo booth. Happy hour is available at LouLou Restaurant Rooftop and Lounge and The Cheesecake Factory.

On April 10 from 11 a.m. to noon, Santa Monica Place Kids Club will feature The BeatBuds, an interactive musical duo, along with crafts and giveaways — all free.

Live acoustic music and DJ performances will fill Center Plaza during Sounds of Santa Monica on April 10 and 11 from noon to 6 p.m.

The Makers Hive Market returns April 12 from noon to 5 p.m., featuring more than 35 local artisans selling jewelry, art, home goods, and accessories. A candle and perfume-making workshop will also be offered.

Santa Monica Place is at Broadway and Third Street Promenade. Programming is subject to change.
