Santa Monica Place will host its first-ever Weekly Western Wednesday free line dancing series every Wednesday from Sept. 3 through Oct. 29, the shopping center announced.
The high-energy line dancing classes will run from 6-8 p.m. in the Center Plaza at 395 Santa Monica Place. Professional instructors will lead the sessions, with TMR & Co. Dancers teaching September classes and Urban Boot Scoot leading October sessions. No experience is required.
"Just bring your dancing shoes and a can-do attitude," organizers said.
Several Santa Monica Place restaurants will offer pre-dance happy hour specials to complement the evening entertainment:
LouLou Santa Monica will feature Golden Hour from 3-6 p.m., with special cocktail prices and a complimentary bite with the first drink. The Cheesecake Factory will offer discounted drinks and appetizers from 4-6 p.m. in the bar area. Curious Palate will provide discounted craft beer and wine from 5-6 p.m. in its market-inspired setting.
Admission to the line dancing classes is free, though RSVPs are encouraged at Eventbrite.com.
Located steps from the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica Place is an open-air destination featuring retail, dining and entertainment options. The center houses popular restaurants including Din Tai Fung and The Cheesecake Factory.
The venue regularly hosts community events and brand activations, serving as a gathering place for both locals and visitors. Upcoming additions to the center include Arte Museum and Club Studio, which will join existing attractions like The Gourmandise School culinary classes and Cayton Children's Museum.
