# Santa Monica Quit making Bush a scapegoat

In his letter to the editor (“Oh, can you hear the pipes calling?” Oct. 5) Ron Lowe asks why the Democrats keep playing into the hands of the “Bush and Republican war machine,” as if the Dems are too stupid to make their own decisions. Mr. Lowe correctly states that there is a Democratic Party majority in both houses of Congress and if that majority wants to cut the funding to the war, they have the power to do so.

Blaming everything you don’t like on Bush and the Republicans is getting very tiresome and I, for one, am sick of hearing it.
