On February 25, at approximately 2:55 p.m.
Officers responded to 2525 5th Street regarding a battery that just occurred. Upon arrival officers found that the victim claimed she was spat on. The victim provided the description of the suspect. Officers were able to locate the suspect two blocks away.
Officers learned that the victim had approached the suspect (Cassie Gonzalez) when she heard Gonzalez yelling at another individual. The victims stated she attempted to speak with Gonzalez; however, Gonzales yelled and cursed at her. The victim then stated Gonzalez spat on her twice.
The victim was desirous of prosecution.
Cassie Joe Gonzalez, 35, from Los Angeles was placed under arrest for battery and held on $20,000 bail.
