The Santa Monica Police Department is investigating a shooting on the 1900 block of Cloverfield.
According to SMPD, one individual was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury to the leg.
Officials sent out a notification on the City’s alert system at about 5 p.m. regarding the shooting that occurred at about 4:15 p.m.
Residents were asked to avoid the area of Cloverfield and the I-10 Freeway pending the results of the investigation.
