# Shopping benefits schools

The Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation has partnered with Santa Monica Place to raise money to “support educational excellence for every child in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District,” according to a statement released Monday.

A dollar will be donated to the Ed Foundation per Santa Monica Place Gift Card or GIVE Green Gift Card purchase. Gift cards must be purchased at the Santa Monica Place Concierge Desk in order to benefit the nonprofit organization.

The dollar will be donated from a purchase fee of $4.95 when buying a Santa Monica Place Gift Card, or $3.95 when buying a GIVE Green Gift Card.
