Santa Monica College's Music Department will present "YAS, QUEEN!" on March 27, a classical music concert featuring LGBTQ+ connections in the works of lyricists, composers and performers.
The performance will feature SMC faculty member Jeremiah Selvey Convento, baritone, and UCLA guest artist Daniel Gledhill on piano. The program will heavily feature Scott Brubacher's song cycle "Gilgamesh," made famous by Stephen Lancaster's performance on PARMA Recordings.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at The Edye at the SMC Performing Arts Center, 1310 11th St., Santa Monica.
Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for students with valid ID. Advance tickets are available at smc.edu/tickets or by calling 310-434-3005 Monday through Friday. Tickets may also be purchased at The Broad Stage Box Office beginning 45 minutes before the performance. Free parking is available on premises, and seating is on a first-arrival basis.
