# SMC industry speaker series is back

Want to learn more about the entertainment industry? The Santa Monica College Academy of Entertainment and Technology’s entertainment industry speaker series presents, “Publicity, Talent & the Media,” at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5.

The free lecture is part of SMC’s Mary Pickford Speakers Series, held at SMC’s Academy of Entertainment and Technology’s screening room, 1660 Stewart St., Santa Monica.

Speaking will be Mitchell Charles Messinger, director of media relations at ABC Daytime Entertainment, who is in charge of the national publicity campaign for the network’s No. 1 daytime drama, “General Hospital.” He also heads up project development for ABC’s annual Super Soap Weekends at Walt Disney World.
