SMC Symphony Orchestra to Perform March 28 at Broad Stage

The Santa Monica College Music Department will present an evening of orchestral music performed by the SMC Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in The Eli & Edythe Broad Stage at the SMC Performing Arts Center.

The concert, led by Conductor Mercedes Juan Musotto, features a program of orchestral masterworks including the Polovtsian Dances from "Prince Igor" by Alexander Borodin and Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 2.

"We'll follow that with Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 2, one of the most beloved symphonies of the Romantic era, celebrated for its warmth, lyricism, and radiant orchestral writing," Musotto said.

The family-friendly performance welcomes listeners of all ages with no age restrictions.

Tickets are $15 general admission plus service charge. Admission is free for students with any student ID and free for children. Advance tickets are available online at smc.edu/tickets or by calling 310-434-3005 Monday through Friday during limited hours. Tickets may also be purchased at The Broad Stage Box Office starting 45 minutes before the performance. Free parking is available on premises, and seating is on a first-arrival basis.
