The Santa Monica College Wind Ensemble will perform a concert titled "War Horses" on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. at The Eli & Edythe Broad Stage at the SMC Performing Arts Center, 1310 11th Street.
Under the direction of Kevin McKeown, the ensemble will perform music recognized for excellence, including both forgotten older works and pieces that have been performed regularly for decades.
"This concert features some older works for band that have been forgotten, along with a few 'war horses' that have been performed regularly for decades," McKeown said. "We also plan on sharing a special Halloween encore from the sounds of a talented local composer."
The performance will take place at the venue located at Santa Monica Boulevard in Santa Monica.
Tickets cost $10 for general admission, plus a service charge. All students receive free admission with any student identification.
