Santa Monica College's Emeritus Players Acting Troupe will present its Summer 2025 Showcase, "Conversations: Scenes from Film and Theater," as a free live virtual event Saturday, July 12, at 1 p.m.
The online performance will feature students from SMC's Emeritus acting classes presenting scenes described as silly, serious and quirky that inspire, entertain and offer something to think about.
"The Emeritus Players, under the direction of Barbara Gannen, brings both veteran and rookie performers together for an entertaining stage presence," said Dr. Scott Silverman, SMC Noncredit and External Programs dean. "Please join us for an incredibly lively and delightful performance."
Viewers can access the live virtual event through a Zoom link posted at the July 12 event listing at smc.edu/events.
SMC's Emeritus program was founded by Santa Monica College in 1975 to serve the lifelong learning interests of older adults. The widely praised program offers more than 120 noncredit adult education classes and special programs that serve more than 3,000 students annually.
