The Santa Monica Police Department braved the heat this past weekend, giving back to the community through a shared love of basketball. At Christine Emerson Reed Park on Sept. 7, officers joined in for basketball games during Coach Jackson’s Fourth Annual Hoop Fest, a fundraiser that raised $1,250 for a to-be-determined charitable cause.
