Sollis Health opened its newest concierge medical center in Santa Monica on Wednesday, Nov. 19, expanding the company's footprint in Southern California with a facility designed to deliver hospital-level emergency care without the wait times.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2811 Wilshire Blvd. drew Santa Monica Mayor Lana Negrete, local business leaders and Sollis executives who highlighted the center's central Westside location and advanced diagnostic capabilities.
Sollis Health CEO Brad Olson, Dr. Amir Tabibnia, regional medical director for Southern California, and Judy Kruger, CEO of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, delivered remarks at the ceremony. Following their addresses, guests toured the facility and met with Sollis medical leadership.
The new location joins existing Sollis centers in Beverly Hills and Manhattan Beach, as well as facilities across New York, Northern California and South Florida. The company operates on a membership model, providing members with unlimited 24/7 access to urgent and emergency care both in person and via telehealth.
In discussing the opening, Katy Marshall, chief growth officer at Sollis Health, emphasized the strategic importance of the location.
"Access to excellent emergency care, without the wait," Marshall said. "This center isn't just bigger — it's more central to the West LA area. Perfectly positioned to not only service the Santa Monica community, but also Brentwood, Bel Air, Westwood."
The Santa Monica center features five exam rooms and houses diagnostic equipment typically found only in hospital emergency departments, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammogram, DEXA scan and X-ray machines. Rapid testing for COVID-19, influenza, RSV and other conditions is also available on-site.
Marshall said consolidating diagnostics under one roof addresses a common frustration in urgent care.
"One reason urgent and emergency care can be so time-consuming is that patients often have to go to multiple locations for diagnostics and treatment," she said. "Sollis's innovation is that our top-tier diagnostics are on-site."
The company said the facility can address conditions ranging from common colds to broken bones with minimal wait times for members.
The facility's design prioritizes patient comfort with what the company describes as a calm, welcoming environment featuring ocean views. An attached parking garage enhances accessibility for members seeking immediate care.
The center's medical team includes emergency physicians and specialists from institutions such as Cedars-Sinai and UCLA. Among the leadership present at the opening were Chief Medical Officer Dr. Scott Braunstein, Concierge Pediatrician Dr. Tiffany Fischman and Assistant Medical Directors Dr. Chuck Yu and Dr. Mojdeh Toomarian.
Marshall said the partnership with the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce reflects the company's community-focused approach despite its national presence.
"Sollis has centers across the country, but within every market we're a community clinic," she said. "One of our strengths as a medical membership are the relationships between our members and our clinicians. At Sollis, urgent and emergency care isn't anonymous and confusing — it feels safe and connected."
Marshall said guests at the ribbon-cutting responded positively to direct interaction with medical leadership and facility tours.
"Guests of the Ribbon Cutting loved having the opportunity to connect directly with our Medical Leadership," she said. "They were impressed with the beautiful calming environment, stunning ocean views and on-site advanced imaging and lab capabilities."
The membership-based model represents a departure from traditional urgent care and emergency room services. While Sollis did not disclose membership costs, Marshall described the company's growth strategy.
"As our membership grows, Sollis is keeping pace to maintain our sky-high standards of care," she said. "With more exam rooms and enhanced emergency medicine capabilities, this center is fully equipped to provide our members with exceptional immediate care in a space that's calm, comfortable and welcoming."
The Santa Monica location positions Sollis Health to serve a broader swath of West Los Angeles, offering an alternative to traditional emergency rooms for members willing to pay for immediate access to advanced medical care.
The center operates 365 days a year with round-the-clock availability for both scheduled and walk-in appointments.
