# Some star power for CLARE

*Celebs and locals will join to celebrate CLARE’s continuum of care.*

The 9th Annual Friends of CLARE Tribute Dinner will take place in the Colonnade Ballroom at Casa del Mar Hotel in Santa Monica tonight at 6 p.m. The evening’s Master of Ceremonies will be best-selling author, comedian, and talk show host Greg Behrendt. CLARE will be honoring three outstanding individuals who have made a lasting contribution in the recovery community.

Earl Hightower will receive CLARE’s Tribute Award presented by actor Matthew Perry for continued dedication and service to the community. This year’s Spirit of CLARE award will be presented to Santa Monica resident Jack Rosenbaum, a member of CLARE’s Board of Directors for over 20 years. CLARE will present a new award this year, the Founders Award, to another Santa Monican, Ken Schonlau, the last surviving founder of the CLARE Foundation.

The CLARE Foundation has 11 programs at four locations providing a continuum of care to all those seeking recovery from alcoholism and substance abuse. Last year, over 25,000 men, women and children turned to CLARE for help and more than 90 percent completed their program of recovery. Speakers continue to entertain at SMC
