# Special opportunities to give

A number of charitable events will be taking place in Santa Monica Place and on the Promenade leading to the Christmas Holiday, which include: ■CHIPS for Kids Toy Drive: Bring new, unwrapped toys to Center Court of Santa Monica Place through December 21\. Your gifts will be distributed to disadvantaged or hospitalized children in the Los Angeles area. The event is sponsored by the California Highway Patrol; ■Toys For Tots: Toys for children are being collected at Citibank at 429 4th St.; ■Westside Food Bank Holiday Food Drive: Donate non-perishable food items in Center Court of Santa Monica Place through December 24\. The drive is sponsored by the Big Blue Bus and Westside Food Bank; ■Salvation Army Angel Tree: Donate holiday gifts to help local children in need by taking an angel with a child’s name, age and gift wish from the “Angel Tree” located on level 1 of Santa Monica Place in Macy’s Court through December 23rd. It is sponsored by the Salvation Army.

In addition to these events, free gift wrapping is available on the Promenade.
