Despite posting a 3-7 record this season, St. Monica football was named an at-large selection to the CIF-SS Northeast Division playoffs.
The Mariners draw defending division champion Rio Hondo Prep, the team that knocked St. Monica out of the playoffs in the semi-finals last year. The game is at Rio Hondo Prep on Friday and begins at 7:30 p.m.
St. Monica ended the season 1-3 in Santa Fe League play.
