LONG BEACH — St. Monica’s football team defeated St. Anthony, 38-0, on Friday to clinch the Santa Fe League title.
It is the first league title for St. Monica since 2002. With the win, the Mariners qualify for the CIF-SS playoffs. The Mariners will host Chadwick on Friday. The location of the game has yet to be released.
St. Monica finishes the regular season 8-2 overall and 4-0 in league.
