# Stars step up for “Art Heals”

Step Up on Second will get some celebrity support from the former Mrs. Partridge and her real life hubby for the “Art Heals” event on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Husband and wife Marty Ingels (“ER”) and Shirley Jones, this year’s Emmy nominee for Best Supporting Actress, will co-host the charity fundraising event, which is a group display of client artwork by members of Step Up On Second. The event will be held at Akwa restaurant in Santa Monica, 1415 Fifth St., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

More than 60 pieces of art will be on display. “The art show will highlight some of the gifted talents of our participants, all of whom are living with a diagnosed mental illness,” said Tod Lipka, CEO of Step Up On Second.

Following the fundraiser, the artwork will be on display for one month at the Focus Community Gallery in Santa Monica Place. All the paintings are for sale by the artists. The event will feature a free Prosecco bar, sponsored by Martini and Rossi, gourmet cuisine from Akwa, imported French waters supplied by Volvic and Badoit and live jazz.
