Dear Ms. Booth, this reply is in response to your letter to the editor dated March 7, 2008 (“A challenge to Prop. 98 thinking,” page 4).

It must be nice to know what’s best for others. That you, Heidi Marshall Booth, have the great wisdom to know that my family has enough. I take it by your letter that you also must know what’s best for others. Perhaps you know who should marry who or even more offensive, who should not marry who. Or for that matter which of us is fit to have children, or perhaps you can set up a court that dictates which American’s are unfit to give birth. Well Ms. Booth when I hear your rant and your “know what’s best for others” I thank my good luck that I live in America where we are a country of laws, not a country ruled by the whims of men and women. The difference between us, Ms. Booth, is that you think Santa Monica owes you, I on the other hand owe her.
