# Street Sweeping returns to weekly schedule

The City of Santa Monica maintains a street sweeping program to comply with provisions of the federally mandated Clean Water Act. Street sweeping helps to remove pollutants which can potentially reach the Santa Monica Bay.

Starting Monday, August 30, 2021, street sweeping will return to once a week. Follow your NO PARKING street signs for the weekly street sweeping schedule.

Street sweeping parking violations will be enforced. Please ensure you move your vehicle to avoid a parking ticket. Remember: There is no street sweeping on national holidays like September 6 (Labor Day), November 25-26 (Thanksgiving), December 24 (Christmas Eve), December 25 (Christmas Day), December 31 (New Year’s Eve), and January 1 (New Year’s Day).
