Suspect arrested for burglary at a residence under construction

On July 16, at about 8:25 a.m.

A resident in the 1800 block of 20th Street called to report that she was following a suspect in a burglary that just occurred. The suspect, a female, Black in her 30s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, was walking eastbound on Olympic Boulevard from 20th Street. The suspect was discovered by construction workers as they arrived at their jobsite, a residence, a little after 8 a.m. The workers took a photograph of the suspect and transmitted it to the owner of the home who was able to verify that the female suspect was not supposed to be inside the house. Responding officers located the suspect nearby and recovered several stolen items, including a laptop computer, a camera, cuff links, and mail in the name of the home's owner. The suspect was arrested for burglary and transported to the jail for booking. At the station, the officers discovered the suspect had multiple outstanding warrants. Erica Loiren Baltazar, 42, of Santa Monica had bail set at $59,614.
