A suspect is in custody after an early morning stabbing on the Venice Boardwalk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers were called to Ocean Front Walk and Navy Street around 7:34 for a male, 34-years-old, who was stabbed in the neck.

Police say the victim was conscious and breathing when they arrived. He was taken to the hospital and is believed to be stable.

A suspect is in custody and has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Monday morning’s stabbing is just a few blocks from where another stabbing took place on April 16. A 25-year-old victim was stabbed in the arm multiple times before they were taken to the hospital. No word on if the suspect in that case was arrested.
