The Swig Company announced Tuesday, Sept. 23, that its Santa Monica office building at 3130 Wilshire Boulevard has achieved Fitwel One Star Certification, recognizing the property's health and wellness features.
The certification rewards buildings that incorporate evidence-based design and operation strategies supporting occupants' physical, mental and social health. The rating considers factors including walkability, transit access, indoor air quality and wellness-focused amenities.
"We are proud to have achieved this Fitwel Star Certification, a recognition that reflects our ongoing commitment to both sustainability and the well-being of our tenants," said Mei Chou, vice president of asset management at The Swig Company.
The Swig Company acquired the six-story, 97,000-square-foot creative office building in 2022. Recent extensive renovations included a full seismic upgrade, redesigned main lobby and new outdoor patio.
The building now features a tenant lounge with gaming tables, wellness room, mother's room and two conference rooms with flexible space for gatherings up to 88 people. The property also holds LEED Silver certification and WELL Health-Safety and ENERGY STAR ratings.
Located near Interstate 405 and Interstate 10, the building offers abundant parking and proximity to Bristol Farms, Erewhon and various restaurants. The combination of health-focused features, modern amenities and prime location creates what the company calls a compelling option for tenants seeking wellness-supporting workplaces.
