Sirens filled Santa Monica’s downtown area Monday afternoon after a head-on collision just south of the California Incline shut down traffic in both directions on Pacific Coast Highway.

The Santa Monica Police Dept and Santa Monica Fire Dept responded to a multi-vehicle accident at Pacific Coast Highway and the California Incline Friday morning. The South Bound lane of the PCH was shut down with traffic diverted at the Incline at about 11 a.m. The lanes reopened at about 1:20 p.m.
The California Incline reopened on Sept. 1 after 17 months of construction.
