DOWNTOWN — During the holiday season, big meals and shopping dominate the American psyche, filling up advertising pages with the new thing to buy and the delicious recipes to attempt on family and friends.
Santa Claus is coming to town early this year and Santa Monica’s firefighters and police officers are leading the way. Santa and his public safety helpers will be distributing good cheer and thousands of candy canes as part of the 19th annual Candy Cane Drive.
SECOND STREET — Those who use their bikes to get to work Downtown will be able to safely secure their wheels and freshen up before heading to the office thanks to the new, $2 million Santa Monica Bike Center, the largest, full-service bike facility of its kind in the nation.
