California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Thursday he will impose a new stay-at-home order for areas where capacity at intensive care units falls below 15%.

Cases of COVID-19 continue to surge throughout the Westside, prompting Santa Monica and Los Angeles County leaders to call on residents to heed the rules of the most recent safer-at-home order.
The new protected bike lane on Ocean Avenue is wonderful. It makes for a more safe and pleasant bike ride, and provides a seamless connection from the Colorado Esplanade to the California Incline. Bravo to those in the city who had the vision and courage to get it done.
Giving Tuesday, a popular day to donate to nonprofits and charities, has passed but a number of organizations throughout town are still looking for volunteers and funds that will allow them to help those who are in need this holiday season.
