Giving Tuesday, a popular day to donate to nonprofits and charities, has passed but a number of organizations throughout town are still looking for volunteers and funds that will allow them to help those who are in need this holiday season.
More than a thousand families from the local community left Santa Monica College Tuesday with holiday meals consisting of fresh turkey, pumpkin pie and more as a result of the inaugural Giving Thanks(giving) drive-thru event.
