SAMOHI — A charmed high school career for Santa Monica High School’s Thea Lemberger has resulted in yet another honor. The senior, bound to play college basketball at UCLA next season, was named to the first team of Cal-Hi Sports’ annual all state team.
SAMOHI — An Ocean League baseball title may be on the line, but the Santa Monica High School Vikings seem pretty calm heading into a crucial two-game set against Culver City this week.

For the fifth straight game, Santa Monica High School’s baseball team hung double digit runs on a league opponent. The latest victim of the resurgent Samohi Vikings offensive attack was Beverly Hills on Tuesday.
SAMOHI — Seven down, three to go. Santa Monica High School’s softball team crushed Ocean League rival Beverly Hills, 16-0, on Tuesday, improving its record to a perfect 7-0 in league with just three games to play.
CLOVER PARK — In just his third start of the season, Crossroads’ Josh Flyer threw a no-hitter. The feat came last Thursday during a 10-0 Delphic League win over Kilpatrick that was called after five innings because of the mercy rule.
SAMOHI — Regardless of how it went down, it was a win for Santa Monica High School’s baseball team. Taking advantage of eight walks and a number of defensive miscues, the Samohi Vikings were able to rout Morningside, 14-5, at home on Thursday.
INGLEWOOD — Santa Monica High School’s baseball team remained in the hunt for an Ocean League title with a big 18-2 victory over Morningside on Tuesday afternoon.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL INGLEWOOD — Apparently, the Samohi Vikings have at least one ace in their deck. Senior pitcher Alonzo Gonzalez struckout a season-high 15 batters against Inglewood on Thursday, giving Santa Monica High School’s baseball team a crucial 13-1 win in Ocean League play.
SAMOHI — Capping what was one of the best seasons in recent memory, Santa Monica’s boys basketball team held its end-of-season banquet last weekend to honor its own.
