SAMOHI — Santa Monica’s boys’ volleyball team made short work of Mark Keppel on Tuesday to advance to the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Division 4 playoffs.

The junior pitcher allowed just two hits during a complete game shutout that improved Samohi to 8-0 in league, placing the Vikings in the driver’s seat for a second consecutive championship.
