Target has filed paperwork for a second Santa Monica location.
Officials posted an application for a new alcohol license at 1610 Wilshire Blvd. on Friday. The application lists Target Corporation as the applicant and there are renderings online showing a Target store of approximately 18,500 square feet at that location.
The location was previously occupied by Staples, which announced it would be closing this year.
The application for a Wilshire location follows a previous application to open another Target store at 5th Street and Broadway. The Broadway store would occupy one of the former Fred Segal buildings and is listed as approximately 24,000 square feet.
