Tens of thousands of Americans participated in coordinated walkouts this week across all 50 states to protest President Donald Trump's second-term policies on the one-year anniversary of his inauguration.

The "Free America Walkout" drew participants to more than 800 rallies where protesters walked out of workplaces, schools and businesses to "disrupt business as usual."

Demonstrators cited grievances including aggressive immigration enforcement, the fatal ICE shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, deployment of National Guard troops in U.S. cities, and policies affecting transgender rights and healthcare access.

California saw some of the largest gatherings. Hundreds protested at Los Angeles City Hall, while students from East L.A. high schools joined downtown demonstrations. More than 1,000 people attended rallies across Orange County communities. In San Francisco, up to 1,000 protesters gathered at Civic Center plaza before marching to the federal building.

Local participants, including music teacher Emily Arrow, gathered at the corner of Abbott Kinney and Venice Blvd. to sing, march and voice their opposition to the current administration.
