Ea Sola knows conflict. Having been raised in Vietnam during the war, she has a vested interest in the work she takes on.

Drought and Rain Vol. 2 is a poignant look at the Vietnam War as seen through the eyes of the next generation — the youth. Her troupe of performers consists of 12 young dancers from the Vietnam National Opera Ballet and a traditional Vietnamese music ensemble performing new, original music.

The piece is a high-energy work that chronicles one of the most difficult eras the Southeast Asian country has ever seen.

Company Ea Sola will be performing at Royce Hall, located on the campus of UCLA. The performance takes place tonight and Saturday at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $15 (student) to $40\. For information, go to www.uclalive.org. DANIEL ARCHULETA
