Holliday's Helping Hands will host its fourth annual Shining Through Service Gala on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Regent Hotel in Santa Monica. The black-tie evening, themed "Waves of Hope," aims to raise funds for the Los Angeles-based nonprofit's fight against homelessness.
The event will feature red-carpet arrivals, a VIP reception, multi-course dinner, entertainment by a Grammy-nominated performer, and silent and live auctions. KTLA's Jasmine Simpkins will serve as emcee.
"We have an amazing evening planned—fine dining, thrilling entertainment, recognition of community members making a difference, and a celebration of progress in the fight to end homelessness," said Miss Katina Holliday, founder of Holliday's Helping Hands.
This year's honorees include Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Grammy-nominated recording artist MAJOR., and Thaddeus Bullard, known as Titus O'Neal from Bravo's "Kings Court." Bullard is recognized for leading the nation's largest back-to-school event, building housing for the homeless and supporting 30,000 families in need.
Tickets are priced at $300 for general admission and $400 for VIP. Corporate sponsorships range from $1,000 to $10,000, each including a table for eight and exclusive VIP amenities. A lifelong membership in the nonprofit's Founding 50 is available for $25,000.
Founded in 2018, Holliday's Helping Hands provides interim housing and individualized roadmaps to independence for vulnerable populations. With more than 200 staff members, the organization operates the Shine Ambassador Work Source Program, offering training in food service, landscaping, screen printing and customer service.
In 2024, HHH expanded its impact by launching the HHH School of Nursing, where clients can become Certified Nursing Assistants at no cost. The organization is guided by the belief in giving a hand up, not a handout, helping people rebuild with dignity, hope and purpose.
