Even if you’re not in a car, the Santa Monica Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Section might be watching you next month.

Throughout February, motor officers will target pedestrian traffic violations, including jaywalking, walking against red lights, failure to yield to right-of-way traffic and pedestrians in the roadway.

Each month, the SMPD Traffic Enforcement Section focuses on different driving behaviors that can cause accidents. In the month of January, the focus has been on drivers talking on cell phones.
