On December 5, at approximately 2 p.m.
Officers were in the area of 1200 block of 2nd Street, when they observed a male subject removing refuse from a City trashcan in violation of the municipal code. Officers detain the subject who provided a false name to the officers. The subject’s true identity was determined and he was found to be on active parole for assault with a deadly weapon. A parole violation was issued and he was taken into custody without incident. Joshua Kekoa Baird, 26, homeless, was arrested for theft of recycling, false identification and a parole violation. He was denied bail.
