**St. Monica softball hits the road**<p>

Coming off a 5-4 extra inning win over Viewpoint in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 6 playoffs, the St. Monica Mariners’ softball team is scheduled to play Marymount today on the road.

The game begins at 3:15 p.m.

**Xrds baseball to face Rio Hondo Prep**<p>

Crossroads’ baseball team will travel to Rio Hondo Prep today to play a CIF-SS Division 6 playoff game.

The Crossroads Roadrunners defeated Viewpoint, 5-1, to advance. The Roadrunners finished the season first in the Delphic League. Rio Hondo Prep qualified for the playoffs as an at-large berth.

**New Roads set for second round**<p>

New Roads’ baseball team will face Valley Torah today in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 7 playoffs on the road at 3:15 p.m.

The New Roads Jaguars advanced to the second round by defeating Dunn, 7-0, last week. Valley Torah defeated Shalhevet, 9-2, in the first round.

If New Roads can advance, it may face fellow Santa Monica-based Pacifica Christian in the quarterfinals. Pacifica Christian is facing Temecula Prep, also today. That game will be on the road for Pacifica.
