Absorb good chi at “Ten Chi,” when Pina Bausch, the German-born choreographer and company director, and Tanztheatre Wuppertal share the sounds, sights and paradoxes of modern Japanese culture. It’s their first return to Los Angeles in eight years and the show is sure to surprise with its unique blend of genres.

Pick a day at UCLA’s Royce Hall and do it quick so you don’t have to wait another eight years. This dancing travelogue plays from Thursday, Nov. 8 through Sunday. Nov. 11\. Show starts at 8 p.m. every day except Sunday, which is a matinee show at 2 p.m. Ticket prices range from $38 and $76\.
