Santa Monica recognized local veterans with its annual event on the Santa Monica Pier. Veteran and City Councilman Dan Hall began the event by recognizing various officials in attendance and reflecting on his service. The event included a flyby by military aircraft but due to the heavy marine layer, the aircraft were obscured from view despite taking a second pass at the Pier.
