A local group is on the lookout for walking routes in the Santa Monica area. Walk Santa Monica is sponsoring a contest to find great walking routes in Santa Monica, and the 10 best written descriptions of those walks will earn the authors an opportunity to appear on CityTV, the local access channel. Anyone and everyone is eligible to win, and entries from people of all ages, including children, are encouraged. Employees and agents of the city of Santa Monica and their immediate relatives are not eligible to participate. Entrants need not be a resident of Santa Monica.

The walk must be at least 75 percent within the city limits. To enter the contest, write a one-page typed or two-page handwritten description of your favorite walk in Santa Monica and explain why it’s your favorite. Winners will be chosen for the description they provide, not for the walking route itself. Only one entry per person is allowed.

Entries can be sent to: Favorite Walk Contest Community Programs Division 1527 4th St., Suite 106 Santa Monica CA 90401 Include your name, address, telephone number and age at the top of the page.
