The Virginia Avenue Project presents “Bad Hare Day,” a story about a girl with a garden and one rascally rabbit told Rashomon-style. The five short plays, will include 15 young students, who will perform using a variety of genres including comedy, song and dramatic storytelling.

Steve Totland, a talented local playwright, along with Leigh Curran, the project’s artistic director, coordi-nated the sessions that created Bad Hare Day.

The goal of the Virginia Avenue Project is to use theater arts and academic enrichment programs to help children discover their full potential.

The performance will be Friday through Sunday at the Miles Playhouse, 1130 Lincoln Blvd. in Santa Monica. Show starts at 7:30 on Friday and Saturday, and has a matinee start of 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is a suggested $5 donation or pay-what-you-can. For reservations call (310) 264- 4224.
